Tara
has been in the spotlight
for fifteen years singing, dancing, acting and performing in musicals
from LA to Boston. Originally from Los Angeles, Tara studied the
Classical/Pop voice method for five years with vocal coach Valerie
Fahren in L.A. Throughout her high school years, she attended a private
literacy and arts school where she had her first solo performance. Tara
has performed at numerous events and venues including The Lanterman
Auditorium and a dozen industry showcases as a solo artist at the
Celebrity Center in Los Angeles. MTV’s “My Own” showcased her rich and
soulful voice on national television. Last year she was chosen to
showcase for Sony and Mercury Records for a project they were putting
together in Boston. It was then she met vocal coach/producer Ric Poulin
and decided to make the move from LA to Boston to enroll in Bristol’s
Artist Development program and start on her latest demo. She also
decided to begin teaching the very method she has studied for so many
years, and trained intensively under program director Ric Poulin in
both the Bristol Gospel/Pop voice method and the Bristol Artist
Development Program. Her musical influences include Mariah Carey,
Aretha Franklin and Alicia Keys. Tara is also an accomplished
songwriter and a painter. As an educator, Tara thrives on the
opportunity to share with her students the skills they need to achieve
their own personal goals in the music industry and is inspired by the
results she sees on a daily basis.

| Patrice Peris is
our newest
vocal instructor here at Bristol Voice Studios. Patrice has always been
involved in music, starting with a flurry of acting classes and vocal
lessons as a child, and continuing on in high school where she
performed in numerous musicals with Colliape Productions in the St.
John’s Variety Shows and continued voice studies with Kathy Ludt of
Shrewsbury. After finishing high school Patrice was accepted into the
music program at Anna Maria College where she concentrated on Classical
Music studies. Wanting to go back to her roots in Musical Theater, she
left Anna Maria to attend the University of Massachusetts, Amherst
where she earned a degree in Theater Studies. After college she went on
to take classes at Foothills Theater as well as additional studies with
vocal instructor Dawn Tucker. Eventually recognizing that her true
passion was Pop/R&B music, Patrice found Bristol Voice Studios,
where, studying for the past 3 years with founder, vocal
coach/producer, Ric Poulin, she was finally able to find her true
voice. She found more than that though as she discovered what Artist
Development was all about first hand through the Bristol Program.
Patrice approached her own development as an artist with total
professionalism and drive and transformed herself into the
singer/songwriter and recording artist she'd always envisioned. Well on
her path to success, with a vivacious spirit and ambition that does not
stop, Patrice is making her mark in the music world with her energetic
live shows and impressive album demo. The industry is buzzing in
return; her soulful and high energy original songs touch every
generation and recently, could be heard on the Dom Armano mixshow on
Boston’s own Kiss 108. Patrice has graced many stages and wowed
audiences across New England. Some performances include the DCU Center,
the nationally known Avalon 3-Day Walk for Cancer, one of New England’s
oldest and most renowned fairs, The Topsfield Fair and numerous area
festivals, clubs and lounges. Patrice is very excited to be part of the
Bristol team, where she is able to share her life's passion, and be a
knowledgeable and creative influence on other aspiring artists, just
like her own vocal teachers have guided and inspired her. |
